Week 22. Can my baby experience a change in mood?

The baby’s thin and reddish skin is covered by a thick, white and waxy substance called vermix or unto sebaceous. This protects the baby’s skin against the amniotic fluid substances.

From now on senses begin to develop, especially touch and taste.

Its limbic system is being developed. This is the system that controls feelings and emotions. While it may seem incredible, this will allow the baby to experience changes in mood in the coming weeks. The baby’s fingernails, eyelids and brows are visible. Only eyelashes are still missing.

It will approximately measure: 19 centimetres and weigh approx 340 grams.
